Project Scope
Cascade delivered four averaged EPDs covering the following product categories
Together these four EPDs provided environmental data for more than 12 individual Fusion Partitions products.
About Fusion Partitions
Fusion Partitions is a UK manufacturer specialising in glazed partitioning systems, including single- and double-glazed partitions, acoustic glass doors, and demountable interior systems. Founded in 2011, the company has established itself as a market leader within the commercial interiors sector.
In 2025, Fusion Partitions partnered with Cascade to complete and publish a suite of Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) after an earlier software-led approach had failed to produce results during the verification stage.
The goal was to obtain independently verified environmental data across their product range in order to benchmark against leading competitors and strengthen their competitive position within specification-led markets.
The Challenge
Fusion Partitions initially attempted to complete the EPD process through a software-based provider. However, the project encountered difficulties during verification, preventing publication and creating delays.
The complexity of the product portfolio presented a significant challenge.
Fusion Partitions’ systems vary considerably across glazing types, framing systems, acoustic performance requirements, and door configurations. Producing separate EPDs for every individual product would have been commercially impractical and unnecessarily complex.
The project therefore required a more strategic consultancy-led approach capable of:
A Bespoke Consultancy-Led Approach
Cascade began the project with an in-person kick-off workshop involving Fusion Partitions’ technical team.
During this workshop, products were grouped into logical categories and representative products were identified to ensure the EPD structure accurately reflected the wider product portfolio while remaining cost-effective and manageable.
For each of the four EPDs, Cascade produced three separate lifecycle assessment (LCA) models representing:
In total, twelve detailed LCAs were developed across the four product families.
Managing Verification & Publication
A key part of Cascade’s role was taking ownership of the verification process that had previously caused delays.
We managed verifier communications directly, responded to technical queries, and coordinated the submission process to ensure all four EPDs progressed without delay through independent verification and publication.
This consultancy-led support allowed Fusion Partitions to move away from a challenging software experience to successful publication of EPDs with minimal disruption to their internal team.
The Outcome
Fusion Partitions now has four published EPDs representing the majority of its glazed partitioning product portfolio. The project provided LCA modelling across twelve products while creating a simplified and commercially sensible EPD structure that can support Fusion Partitions with discussions with architects on larger, high-profile projects.
